White Water

White Water

Whirling to a killing degree

Hundreds of lives at risk

In the river

The people grasp the sides of their canoes

Everything, a white stormy scene

Water with such attitude

Although it tumbles, it always gives back

The joy of the speed

Everything proceeds

River, river, settle down please

  1. Week 6 . . . I love the line "the joy of speed" from your poem White Water. Perhaps you were just tired, but it seemed you ran short of energy and/or time on your entries for Week 6, your last push to the sea. I would have predicted some account of your arrival at the ocean or the vote at the mouth of the Columbia. Still, thanks for all your hard work.

$B (you can up Week 6's pay with a few more entries)
